Dating Profile Photographer FAQs

Here are my answers to some frequently asked questions about online dating photographers!

1. Should I hire a photographer for my dating profile?

If you even think you need to ask, the answer is YES, you should hire a professional photographer ASAP!

A pro photographer will help you stand out, and look good, so you get the matches you deserve.

2. Are there photographers who specialize in online dating?

Yes, though it's not necessary to work with a photographer who exclusively focuses on taking photos for apps like Bumble and Hinge.

Just make sure the professional you choose to hire is good at taking photos for lifestyle / social media use cases.

Also, you'll usually want to avoid wedding photographers, or photographers who specialize in commercial shoots, because they tend to be expensive!

3. How much do professional dating photos cost?

Prices can vary dramatically, but typically a pro photo shoot for dating apps will cost between $300 and $1,000.

You'd be wise to shop around, but I'd advise against penny pinching. Mediocre photos won't have the desired effect, and as the saying goes, "buy it nice, or buy it twice."

4. Are professional photos worth it for online dating?

Assuming you hire the right photographer and get good photos, it's 100% worth it. Many of my clients get 2x-10x matches overnight after they've gotten pro photos and fixed their dating app profiles!

5. How can I find an online dating photographer near me?

Check out my recommendations above, or search on Google.

6. What if I need help with the rest of my profile?
